A performance label is not the whole decision. Texture, weave, colour in the room and realistic care all matter.
Check the specific collection’s properties
Water-repellent, stain-resistant and pet-friendly labels do not explain every condition. Ask for the selected collection code and its manufacturer’s care information and limitations. A category label does not mean every fabric in it performs identically.
Compare samples with your actual room
Compare samples with your flooring, curtains and walls in daylight and with the lights on. View them from several directions and feel the texture: weave and pile can look different from a screen image. For multiple pieces, confirm the colour code and available batch before production.
Questions for homes with pets
Describe whether your pet sleeps on the sofa or scratches furniture. Compare texture, potential snagging and hair removal using the actual samples and supplier guidance. Scratch-resistant options include PASAYA Charcoal and Acacia Deluxe. Water, coffee and wine stain protection depends on the selected fabric code. Ask the team to demonstrate the sample and explain its care.
Plan maintenance before choosing a colour
Ask for written care instructions and check which covers are removable. A removable cover is not automatically machine washable. Follow the selected material’s instructions before applying a cleaner. Keep the material code for future maintenance or repair enquiries.
